Our hoops are the finest available from Europe. Made of beech wood, they are
carefully molded into shape and then coated with a smooth lacquer finish. An
adjustable brass screw allows for consistent tension while the heavy lip
(7/8" in depth) keeps your fabric drum tight. Many sizes are available in
hand-held, sit-upon or table clamp styles. If you prefer to stitch with both
hands you will want a sit-upon or table clamp model. Once you purchase the basic
model (a "basic model" consists of a hoop plus either a sit-upon base
or clamp), you may add extra interchangeable hoops for stitching versatility.
All the interchangeable hoops on a stick will fit either the sit-upon or clamp
models. Wrap the inner ring with twill tape or double faced satin ribbon for an
even tighter hold.
